The Collection “Marrowbone F//W 2020” is made for people with Scoliosis. The purpose of this collection is to make fashionable clothing for people with Scoliosis and to raise awareness / educate other people about it. “Marrowbone” presents garments that pull and push the spine of people with Scoliosis into the right direction with corsets, push-pillows, and straps.
The inspiration for the textures, colors, and shapes of “Marrowbone” were the structures of the vertebrates. The predominantly neutral tones of red, beige, and turquoise symbolize the blood and oxygen flow through the bones. These tones create a subtle contrast through their split complementary color strategy and, therefore, fit into the everyday life of people with Scoliosis. The clothes include corsets, cut-outs (in the shape of vertebras), and spiral seaming- a reminder of our spiral movement pattern.
